Poetry
This is the first unit that we covered during the semester. We learn how to put deeper meaning into randomness and also how to find inspiration from anything.
Grand Theft Poem
For this poem we used various pieces from other poems and tried to make an actual poem of our own out of these random lines. What resulted was a poem that ended up telling a short story.

I Remember Poem
The way that this poem was created was by basically listing memories but at the same time creating various emotions and deeper meaning into them. This was so much fun to do.

|
Ways to look at Poem
I created this Poem by basically taking a subject and just writing about it but in several different perspectives. I chose light, and used it in different ways, not only in a subject but also in attitudes.

Color Poem
This was probably the easiest poem to create. It was great just trying to connect a color to any type of thought I had and then putting those thoughts into a fun little poem.

|
Haiku
A magazine was given to us and we had to cut out two pictures that we really liked out of them. From these pictures, we listed 50 descriptive words. These were then used to create haikus, which are really important in emotion, as well as syllables.

|
Ode
We basically took any random object and used many descriptions to make it sounds a lot more amazing than it actually is. I chose a pencil.
|
|
Ekphrastik Poem
These poems were meant to give voice to a picture.or reflect upon it. The picture that I chose was that of a woman with her two children.

|
Solo Poem
This is probably one of the best poems that I've written. I compared friendship to a tree and tried to sort of personify each individual part of the tree with different descriptions of what friendship actually is. This is the final poem we did in this unit.
